It is said that as long as pysanky (Ukrainian Easter eggs) are being made somewhere in the world, the balance between good and evil is maintained. This blog is a record of my own contributions to saving the world from evil.
My mother did this egg this past weekend. The design is by Luba Petrusha.
Poppies are favorites for pysanky and are a national symbol of Ukraine. They denote feminine graces as well as new life. Wheat represents a bountiful harvest.
