Fishing Nets

I based this egg on the design in UGS 2011 Catalogue.

The crosshatches in this egg are fishing nets, but on other eggs they can be baskets representing knowledge.  I like the way that the egg uses both the typical small crosshatches as well as dividing the barrel division into larger crosshatches that frame the fish and stars.  In conjunction with the fish and the rosettes (often signifying of God's love or Christ), this egg is strongly Christian and brings to mind the story of the loaves and fishes or when Jesus asked his apostles to be "fishers of men."  In this Christian context, the triangles can signify the holy trinity and the dots Mary's tears or Jesus's blood.
