Oak Leaves and Acorns

My own design based on a traditional division.

Acorns and oak leaves actually come up on pysanky more often than one would think.  The oak theme refers to the strength and persistence associated with oak trees.  Acorns represent preparing for the future.    The grouping of leaves or acorns in threes suggests the holy trinity.  I put spiders in, too (did you notice them?) and they represent patience.

I actually did this egg twice -- the first time I included a pair of mated deer in the "window" of the leaves and some crosses (see below).  But I thought the acorns looked too puny and crosses too crowded.
