After the Fire
A variation on a diasporan design.
On this pysanka:
Butterfly (stylized here as four lobes): rebirth and resurrection
Cross: four cardinal directions, crucifixion
Triangle: family (mother, father, child), Trinity
Windmills (upper and lower bands): happiness
Baskets (hatched triangles): providing for others
Saw motif: fire, life-giving heat
Ladder: rising above small problems, prayer
Dominant color, red: fire, passion, action, hope, and hearth
