Wedding Pysanka: Horse and Ram (Goose Egg)

Side One: Alternating horses (prosperity and endurance) and rams (leadership and creativity).

Border

Side Two: Chickens (rich family life) with Tree of Life -- typical motifs for a wedding pysanka.

My own design based on a Hutsul division. This pysanka was made as a wedding present for a good friend who just got married.

On this pysanka:
Horses: prosperity, endurance
Rams: prosperity, leadership and creativity
Wheat: abundant harvest and health
Eight-pointed star / ruzha: sun symbol, also life force
Triangles: mother, father, child
Baskets: providing for others
Pine needles: eternal youth and health, stamina and growth
Diamonds: knowledge
Flower petals / flowers: charity and good will
Chickens: rich family life, fertility
Tree of Life (shown here as a large flower): renewal and creation

Final color, green: Spring, new life, freedom
