This design is a near-replica of an egg in Elyjiw's Sixty Score of Easter Eggs with stylistic modifications.
This pysanky was written in memory of my grandfather, who passed on January 10, 2013. I inscribed the opposite face of the egg:

Cross: crucifixion and resurrection
Branch with berries: products of a well-lived life
Flower (bud): charity and good will
Wave meander: wealth and baptism
Baskets: knowledge, providing for others
Final color, black: eternity
