Folk Designs with Alternate Color Schemes

This floral design is from Luba Perchyshyn's UGS worksheets. The coloration and border is mine. Love pairing green with pink! Flowers represent charity and good will.

My own riff on a traditional folk design featuring flowers or plants. Coloration is non-traditional (but I love how pink and green appear together!)

A traditional folk design from Elyjiw's Sixty Score of Easter Eggs (Table 11, No. 12) in which I've changed the color scheme to shades of green and added purple.

A traditional folk design from Elyjiw's Sixty Score of Easter Eggs (Lviv, Table 18, No. 14) in which I've changed the color scheme to shades of blue.
A traditional folk design from Elyjiw's Sixty Score of Easter Eggs (Table 55, No. 6). This division is called "Six Roses." All star shapes harken back to sun worship, but later came to represent God's Love.
All of these pysanky are folk designs but the first four have a "diasporan" or non-traditional color scheme. The traditional color scheme for pysanky is yellows and reds with black because these are easier to achieve with natural dyes from beets, onions, and charcoal. The last pysanka is an example of this color scheme. Aniline dyes allow much more freedom in color.
