Etched Sun Burst
Inspired by a pysanka featured on Lorrie Popow's website.
On this pysanka:
The sun: Sun worship is central to the origins of pysanky. The sun was the bringer of life, and once Ukraine was Christianized, the sun became a symbol of God's love. In this pysanka, the rays of the sun are divided up with a saw motif to create many triangles. The saw represents fire and life-giving heat. Also here are triangles with dots in them which represent the eye of God.
