40 Days of Pysanky 27: Strawberries
This is a replica of a folk pysanka from Vira Manko's The Ukrainian Folk Pysanka (Table 29, No. 5) from Hushchentsi, Kalynivka region, Vinnytsia province. This design using a variation on the sakvy, or saddlebags division, which divides the egg into four alternating near-triangles.

This is a replica of a folk pysanka featured in Vira Manko's The Ukrainian Folk Pysanka (Table 32, No. 9), from Kyiv province. The "bezkonechnyk," or "endless" spiral or wave motif is a common feature of folk pysanky.

This pysanka is a replica of one featured in Vira Manko's The Ukrainian Folk Pysanka (Table 36, No. 22), from Mutyn, Krolevets' region, Sumy province. This region is in the northeast of Ukraine and is ethnographically the Slobozhanshchyna region.

This is a revision of the pysanka I posted earlier. Here, I've kept the band nearly exactly the same as in Luba Perchyshyn's original pysanka. However, I modified my own garland and continued to elaborate on the stars and stags.

This is a replica of a folk pysanka featured in Vira Manko's The Ukrainian Folk Pysanka (Table 32, No. 14) from Kyiv Province. The repeating motif is often referred to as "God's hand" or "Godfather's fingers" and is considered a symbol of magical power and protection.

40 Days of Pysanky 19: Rays of the Sun
This pysanka was inspired by a design by Luba Perchyshyn, and has borrowed color scheme and the band from that pysanka almost in its entirety. My contribution is multiplying her one stag by four and adding the flower garland. I also enclosed her band in parallel lines, which I wish I hadn't done.

This design is adapted from an embroidery pattern featured in Vira Manko's The Ukrainian Folk Pysanka for the Kurs'k and Kharkiv Provinces. I have not been able to find additional information on it.
40 Days of Pysanky 17: Ruzha
This is a replica of a folk pysanka from Vira Manko's The Ukrainian Folk Pysanka (Table 37, No. 8) from Kozats'ka Sloboda, Kurs'k region. This is ethnographically the northern Slobozhanshchyna region, now in current day Russia. In 2013, I wrote a version of this design with a different color scheme and some alterations to the motifs.

This pysanka is based on a diasporan design by Luba Perchyshyn of UGS that appears in UGS Book 5 in the very back. I've changed the some of the colors and some of the motifs.
