It is said that as long as pysanky (Ukrainian Easter eggs) are being made somewhere in the world, the balance between good and evil is maintained. This blog is a record of my own contributions to saving the world from evil.

Paska
This design is adapted from one that appears in Eggs Beautiful -- in particular, I changed the border. This traditional design is called "Paska" because it looks like the top of paska bread, a traditional bread made at Easter.
On this pysanka:
Leaves: renewal, the spring
Flowers: charity and good will
Pussy willow: anticipation of spring
Eight-pointed star: life force, love of God
Ram's horns: strength, leadership, and creativity
Baskets: knowledge, providing for others
Dots: seeds
Spirals: mysteries of life and death, divinity and immortality
Final color, dark red: passion, action, hearth
