My own design. This is a revision of a design I did in 2014, changing the color scheme to feature blues instead of greens and playing with the patterns in the petals. This was a smaller chicken egg than the one I used in 2014, and it's interesting to see the effect that had on the proportion of the hatch pattern to the flower petals -- the hatch design is about the same size on both eggs, but the overall size of the egg makes it look much bigger on the newer design.
It is said that as long as pysanky (Ukrainian Easter eggs) are being made somewhere in the world, the balance between good and evil is maintained. This blog is a record of my own contributions to saving the world from evil.

Hutsul Horses with Resheto
This pysanka is a near-replica of one in Elyjiw's Sixty Score of Easter Eggs (Table 49, No. 6, Kosmach). The final red color is probably lighter than in the original.

Gathering in the Woods
I based this pysanka on a folk pysanka in Elyjiw's Sixty Score of Easter Eggs (Table 49, No. 5, Kosmach). Although the subject matter remains the same, my stylizing of the trees, birds, and deer has given this pysanka a different feel from the original.
